There’s a very hairy monster
Beneath the bathroom sink
He’s very fond of guest soaps
Especially if they’re pink

He likes to take long baths
Amid rose-scented bubbles
It rids him of that skunky smell
But causes our drain troubles

‘Cause he’s a very hairy monster
And that skunky hair makes clogs
My parents won’t believe me
So I blame it on the dogs

But guest soaps disappearing
Are much harder to explain
“Cause if the dogs would eat them
Their tummies would feel pain

And our dogs are feeling fine
And their breaths don’t smell of rose
I suggested that they bury them
Like bones and dug some holes

But my dad has searched the yard
And he’s becoming quite suspicious
He doesn’t think the dogs would think
That roses are delicious

But if they won’t believe in monsters
The only suspect could be me
I noticed my mom sniffing
To smell who smelled flowery

And I refuse to take the fall
For something they refuse to see

I think the only option now
Is for the dogs and me to leave
Then my parents will be free
To solve this hairy mystery
Without any other suspect
But the one they can’t believe
