You're looking at the pinnacle
It seems so far away
The pebble in your hand
Feels like a boulder in your way

You're straining 'neath its weight
It's hard to stand up tall
You feel as if you're at square one
Have just begun to crawl

You tell yourself it is too far
You'll never make your goal
How can you reach the pinnacle
When you are in a hole

I'll bring some dirt to fill it
We'll drop our pebbles and
We'll make a mound out of the hole
Plateau on which to stand

The pebbles make it stronger
They give your feet a boost
Up to a view you'd never know
If your path had been smooth

So thank each and every pebble
As you touch them with your shoes
Climbing up, up to the pinnacle
Appreciating (with every fiber)
The spectacular attained view

Everything you need is in your grasp
You hold all the tools
Don't wait for miracles
Mine your boulder for its jewels
