Philosophizing Bullshit
Sitting, whiling away time
In order to decide nothing
Create questions while
Answers elude us
We sit
Stare at a crack in the wall
And contemplate the reality
The concreteness
Reflect on the past
Comment on the present
Wonder on the future
Come to no conclusions
But keep out the butterfly net
Chase molecules in the air
They slip between the netting
And fly above us
Out of reach
But we don't retire
We don't tire
So much easier
To What if
Than to put into action
Anything
No solutions
Just disillusions
And diseludings
No conclusions
And the molecules of life
Continue
Flying over our heads

Wave

I wrote this poem when I was in college. It seemed like we spent a lot of time talking about problems, but we never considered actually trying to solve them. I found this practice frustrating - and so I wrote a poem about it.
