The Sunrise

A horizon nicked by
a reddened glow
Lavender covered stars
blue comes slow
A fountain of pink that
splashes the sky
To a silver moon now you
wave goodbye
Yellow building to the stars
green Venus turns to air
Orange dusts the gray
colors shift to fair
Nature’s job is almost done
And then we see
the sun.
