Bubbles always
Breaking through the surface
Of the unbreathable water
Watch as they never stop
For I am never allowed
The pleasure of a change
I sink and long for
A still, glass reflecting pool
Calm, serene, black depth

The world through a refraction
I never see the darkness
I am made to return
Break the surface as a bubble
And feel the cold as
My coat of armor evaporates
In the bitter, steel air

And I begin to sink
To see the grey
I feel the warm, velvet black
When you take me by the hair
And pull me upward
I break the surface
And shiver
