Cherry bloomed
She didn't care what the other trees said
And laughed heartily at their precautions
As she adorned herself in pink buds
In anticipation of spring

A late winter ice storm
Made other trees shiver
And they watched
Their flowered companion with curiosity

But Cherry welcomed the falling jewels
Which made her dress sparkle
In the sunlight
"Sa Ku Ra!" she sang
And she did

cherry blooms
