Sometimes I get lost
In the struggles of the day
And I stumble
And I fall
Because I’ve lost the rhythm
Of my life

I can’t hear the music
I’m too busy
With minor dischords

So I trudge
And I crawl
When it’s unnecessary

It’s a choice
To fight against “what is”
To get caught up in petty squabbles
To do battle against myself

And when I pause
And listen
It’s my steady heartbeat I hear
Leading a song

And I’m in tune again
With the cosmos
And I dance
