Dipping my toes
in puddles
of purple and white
quickly becoming a river
of blossoms
flowing with the wind
forming rapids
over brick walkways

I wade in

Petal drops land
on my head, hands, arms
until I am saturated
in color
I cup my hands and dip
into the flowing stream
I bring them to my lips
and drink
in lavender perfume

Blooms lap at my ankles
I dance in
lilac waves
splashing purple droplets
over the walkway banks
then I smile,
reveling in
the wisteria rain

wisteria cascading over brick
