Poor Nish! He's been pre-teething for weeks! He started drooling around two months. All that saliva makes him cough, drenches his shirts, and causes his diapers to be wetter. Around the same time, he began sticking his tongue out more. I didn't re… more »
Can you believe that Nish finally fits in his "hospital picture outfit"? With brothers that were 11 pounds (4.99 kg) and close to 10 pounds (4.5 kg) at birth, we expected Nishaant to be a big baby. Even the doctor thought he was close to 7 pounds (3.1… more »
Nishaant has loved music from birth - or perhaps before. Before he was born, I played a music box on my tummy at night and I sang to him during the day. There was the infamous belly butter song. And his special song which I sang to him even during th… more »
I wore my hat at the park, to keep the sun off my face. It was a very sunny day. Look at me standing up on Daddy's lap. I'm so tall! My daddy is silly. He makes me laugh.. and laugh.. and laugh. I had a great day… more »
It was a lot better having my snack on this bench. It was shady. A nice wind was blowing. After eating, I got burped. I was a little sleepy. (I always am after I have my milk.) Then I got snuggles. I love snuggles. Mommy sang me "Ra… more »
Today, we did something fun! Mommy and Daddy took me to Brushy Creek Lake Park. There was a water park that looked like a lot of fun, but I didn't have a bathing suit...and I can't walk yet. So I just watched the kids playing with a beach ball in… more »

Standing Up

Nishaant has a new favorite activity: trying to stand up. He likes to be pulled up high on his bouncy chair, so he is "standing" at a 45 degree angle. As gravity begins to bring him down, he tries to remain upright, even jumping. The… more »
Nishaant's eyelashes are getting so long that they are curling up on the ends. I don't think he needs to blink to protect his eyes anymore. The lashes are like curtains. I'm just afraid he won't be able to see if they keep growing like this!… more »
Who could resist such a face? Nish is starting to expand his repertoire of facial expressions. This one is a winner for getting our attention. And the quivering lip is a nice touch. It just melts our hearts. But we can't let him know that. Or h… more »
Yesterday Nishaant got his first vaccination at the doctor's office. Deciding when to vaccinate him and what immunizations to get wasn't easy. I began researching before Nish was born, because I knew they'd want to give him a Hep-B shot at birth. We d… more »
Yeah, I know. I am. - NISH more »
Nish has been eating and sleeping a lot lately, and I think he is putting all that food and rest into growing eyelashes. What do you think? Can these lashes get any longer? He may have gotten my eyes, but he definitely got Daddy's lashes. (… more »
Ronak was changing a diaper this morning. He thought it would be an ordinary diaper. He thought that Nish had finished pooping, since he had stopped grunting. And even if the baby hadn't finished, the puddle pad and the changing pad and the multipurpose… more »
Today, Nish turns 8 weeks old, and I will be... older too. (Come on, did you think I was going to post my age? That would be too easy. Let's just say I was born on a Wednesday too.) Anyway, I'm sure this birthday will be a lot different than past birt… more »
Nishaant will be 8 weeks old tomorrow. Today he had his 8 week check up, and he has grown again! He is now 10 pounds 8 ounces (4.76 kg), and a little over 23 1/2 inches (60 cm) long. Last week, he was 10 pounds 2 ounces (4.6 kg), so he gained 6 oun… more »
